Broder = delicious and adorable
the picture doesn't even do it justice.Â
so i might have found a new breakfast favorite. last sunday i went to Broder on Clinton street with the second biggest breakfast snob i know (only second to me of course), my friend Amy Lemon. we ordered three entrees for two little girls and had zero left overs to take home (that's a first). we started off with the swedish pancakes that were not shaped like pancakes at all, they looked more like doughnut holes. see picture above. they provided lemon curd, lingonberry  jam, and maple surup to dip them in. that was great for me because i'm not really a big surup fan. the egg dishes were very flavorful and i really enjoyed the variety of side dishes. you could choose from potato pancakes, roasted squash, or sauteed greens. this place is a hipster version of the ikea restaurant (good looking servers included). when i started taking pictures of my food, the people sitting next to us asked if i was a food critic. i was an amateur i said, i was just doing this for a blog. when they asked what the site was, i quickly changed the subject and pretended like i was in a hurry to leave. eek.

Bijou Bazaar
everyone keep asking for more jewelry, and now your wish is my command. we just started carrying a local line called Bijou Bazaar. She takes vintage cabochons (kinda like buttons) and makes rings, bobbie pins, earrings, and necklaces. the prices are quite reasonable (starting around 16 for bobbie pins), and make a really great gift idea for almost any age. we hope to get all the goods online really soon. email if you have any questions. claire@shopadornonline.com
